Marion Health describes its Emergency Department as staffed with board-certified emergency physicians, specially trained nurses and other emergency professionals, with access to advanced diagnostic imaging and laboratory services.

Go to the ER or call 911 for symptoms such as

The regular main-hospital and second-floor parking-garage entrances are locked between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.. Patients and visitors entering during those hours should use the Emergency Department entrance.

Marion Health operates a full-service cancer program providing medical oncology, hematology and radiation oncology. Its cancer program is accredited through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Family Birthing Center visitors

Current visiting hours are 9 a.m.–8 p.m.. The secure Family Birthing Center entrance is on the fourth floor near the orange elevators. Visitors should use the entrance-access button for entry.

Marion Health’s critical-care team includes intensivists, physicians, critical-care nurses, cardiopulmonary specialists and other clinical professionals.

Patients may receive:

• Continuous physiologic monitoring.
• Complex medication management.
• Respiratory support.

• Specialist consultation.
• Multidisciplinary critical-care treatment.

Marion Health provides inpatient rehabilitation for patients who require more intensive recovery support before returning home.

Outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy is also available through Marion Health’s rehabilitation services.

Marion Health laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists. Appointments are generally not necessary for laboratory draw sites, but a physician’s order is required.

Current general rules

• Most units allow up to two visitors at a time.
• Visitor access remains at the discretion of the nurse and treating provider.
• Visitors younger than 14 are discouraged.
• Some specialty units have additional restrictions.
• Pediatrics visiting hours are 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

After 8 p.m.

Main-hospital entrances are locked from 8 p.m.–5:30 a.m. except for the Emergency entrance. Visitors leaving or entering during this period should use the ER entrance.
