IU Health states that qualifying Indiana residents who meet the financial requirements may receive assistance up to the full amount of qualifying bills.

The current policy also states that if an eligible patient’s income is above the Federal Poverty Level criteria but the amount owed for qualifying care is more than 5% of annual household income, the patient may qualify for a discount that reduces the qualifying balance to 5% of annual household income.

Main hospital drop-off entrances

Which entrance should you use?

Late-night entry

Hospital entry doors are locked from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.. During those hours, use the intercom at the entrance and hospital security can unlock the door.

Children visiting

Children younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult other than the patient at all times. Some units may require screening or restrict child visitors.

Do not visit when sick

IU Health asks visitors not to come to the hospital when sick, particularly when they have symptoms such as a sore throat, cold or fever.

Campus rules

• No smoking in IU Health buildings or on hospital grounds.
• IU Health facilities are alcohol- and drug-free.

The Schwarz Cancer Center is an approximately 88,000-square-foot, two-story facility opened in January 2020. IU Health states that it brings multiple cancer services together on one campus.
