Emergency-room fees

Dearborn Hospital does not publish one flat emergency-room case fee. ER charges depend on the level of emergency evaluation plus any laboratory tests, imaging, medication, procedures, specialist consultations, observation or admission required.

High-risk pregnancy services

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine program evaluates high-risk pregnancies including concerns related to diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease, autoimmune disease, kidney disease, seizure disorders, advanced maternal age, abnormal prenatal screening and multiple gestation.

Services include high-risk consultation, detailed pregnancy ultrasound, non-stress testing, genetic counseling and nutrition consultation.

NICU visitation

Corewell Health Children’s states that parent visitation in the Dearborn NICU is unrestricted. Families are encouraged to spend time and bond with their baby whenever medically appropriate.

Pregnancy parking

Maternal-Fetal Medicine patients may park in the South Parking Structure free of charge or use valet at the Fitzgerald Pavilion main entrance.

Doctor consultation fees

A cardiology consultation, pediatrics visit, neurosurgery consultation, oncology appointment or pregnancy specialist visit can have different charges. Tests, facility services, imaging and procedures can also add separate charges.

Interventional Pulmonology arrival

1. Use the Patient/Family Parking Structure, or use Fitzgerald Pavilion valet.
2. If self-parking, enter through the South Entrance.
3. If using valet, enter through the Main Entrance.
4. Enter the hospital on Level 1.
5. Follow signs to Interventional Pulmonology Suite 1011N.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine parking

High-risk pregnancy patients may use the South Parking Structure free of charge or valet at Fitzgerald Pavilion.

Dearborn Surgery Center

The Surgery Center is in the Medical Office Building at 18181 Oakwood Boulevard. The office directs patients to take the elevator to the third floor, Suite 311.

Self-parking in the parking structure is free. Current published valet cost: $4.

Adult inpatient visitors

Corewell encourages family involvement but individual inpatient units can set limits based on clinical condition, isolation status, safety or room capacity. Ask the patient’s unit for the current bedside limit before traveling.

Pediatric inpatient units

For patients age 21 and younger on the Dearborn pediatric inpatient unit, Corewell currently permits:

• Two visitors at the bedside during the day
• One visitor overnight

Emergency Department

One support person may generally stay with the patient in the Emergency Center, subject to capacity and site-leader discretion.

Surgery

Corewell currently permits one support person for an adult surgical patient. For patients age 21 or younger, two parents/support people/legal guardians may be allowed.

Children visiting

Children can visit hospitalized patients when they are well. Children may also accompany adults to outpatient appointments. For imaging appointments, another adult should be available to supervise children while the patient is being scanned.

Masks

Masks are currently optional at most Corewell Health sites except certain areas such as transplant clinics and long-term/skilled nursing settings. Free masks are available for people who choose to wear one.
