Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a full-service teaching and research hospital at 18101 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, MI 48124. The hospital has served Southeast Michigan since 1953 and currently operates 632 beds. Major programs include emergency and trauma care, heart and vascular services, orthopedics, neurosciences, cancer care, women’s health, surgery, imaging, pediatrics and neonatal intensive care.

Appointment steps

Identify the specialty or doctor. Use the current Corewell provider directory rather than an old physician list.
Check the actual practice address. A physician may be affiliated with Dearborn Hospital but see office patients at another Dearborn location.
Call the practice directly. Direct specialty numbers are included in the doctor section below.
Ask whether the doctor is accepting new patients. Corewell marks many provider profiles with current new-patient status.
Confirm your insurance. Ask both the practice and your insurer about network status.
Ask for the exact clinic day. Individual physician schedules change and should be confirmed for the date you want.

What to have ready

  • Full name and date of birth
  • Insurance card
  • Reason for appointment
  • Referral if required
  • Medication list
  • Relevant outside records
  • Imaging or test reports when requested

Dearborn Hospital doctor fees, ER fees and price estimates

Corewell does not publish one universal consultation fee or ER case fee because the amount depends on the service and insurance contract.

Doctor consultation fees

A cardiology consultation, pediatrics visit, neurosurgery consultation, oncology appointment or pregnancy specialist visit can have different charges. Tests, facility services, imaging and procedures can also add separate charges.

ER fees

There is no one fixed Dearborn Hospital emergency fee. The bill depends on the severity of the condition and what care is provided.

Official price-estimate process

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Billing questions 833-261-4563

Mon-Fri 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Ask the ordering physician for the CPT code. Corewell specifically states that the procedure code is needed for an estimate.
Call the estimate line. Give the hospital/location and scheduled service.
Provide insurance details. Your estimate depends on network status and benefits.
Ask whether professional fees are included. Some providers can bill separately from the hospital.

Virtual urgent-care price

Corewell currently advertises virtual urgent care for eligible minor illnesses at no more than $45, with $0 for most insurance plans including Medicaid, subject to insurance coverage and eligibility.

Do not use the $45 virtual-urgent-care figure as the ER price. Virtual urgent care and a hospital Emergency Department are completely different levels of care.

Visitor rules at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital

Corewell’s current Southeast Michigan policy uses different visitor rules by clinical area rather than one identical rule for every unit.

Adult inpatient visitors

Corewell encourages family involvement but individual inpatient units can set limits based on clinical condition, isolation status, safety or room capacity. Ask the patient’s unit for the current bedside limit before traveling.

Pediatric inpatient units

For patients age 21 and younger on the Dearborn pediatric inpatient unit, Corewell currently permits:

  • Two visitors at the bedside during the day
  • One visitor overnight

Emergency Department

One support person may generally stay with the patient in the Emergency Center, subject to capacity and site-leader discretion.

Surgery

Corewell currently permits one support person for an adult surgical patient. For patients age 21 or younger, two parents/support people/legal guardians may be allowed.

Children visiting

Children can visit hospitalized patients when they are well. Children may also accompany adults to outpatient appointments. For imaging appointments, another adult should be available to supervise children while the patient is being scanned.

Masks

Masks are currently optional at most Corewell Health sites except certain areas such as transplant clinics and long-term/skilled nursing settings. Free masks are available for people who choose to wear one.

Visitor rules can change. Infection-control restrictions and unit-specific limits may be different on the day you visit. Call 313-593-7000 and ask for the patient’s unit if you need confirmation.
