Denver Health provides prenatal care through OB/GYN physicians, family physicians, certified nurse midwives and nurse practitioners. Its Labor and Delivery program handles thousands of births each year.

NICU

Urgent care vs. pediatric ER
Pediatric urgent care and the pediatric Emergency Department share a location. Children are triaged to the appropriate level of care. Minor illnesses can be treated as urgent care, while children with abnormal vital signs, serious injury or concerning appearance can be upgraded to emergency-level care.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Denver Health’s PICU provides 24-hour pediatric critical care. Rooms are private, and pediatric intensivists, surgeons and specially trained nurses are available.
The PICU does not use fixed general visiting hours for parents/caregivers, though the unit asks routine visits to wind down in the early evening so children can rest. Parents and caregivers may stay overnight.
