Virtual Urgent Care — CincyKids Health Connect

Virtual urgent care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for children until their 18th birthday.

The current published price is a $50 flat out-of-pocket fee.

The fee may be waived for families on some public insurance plans such as Medicaid.

If the virtual-care provider determines that the child requires immediate in-person care, Cincinnati Children’s states that the family will not be charged for the virtual visit.

Lab after a virtual visit

If the virtual provider orders laboratory work, the laboratory service is billed separately through the normal insurance process.

Main visitor parking is free to all patients and families. The visitor garage is available 24 hours a day.

Parking levels

The main visitor garage uses P2 and P3 for visitor parking. Elevator lobbies use numbers and animal themes to help families remember where they parked.

Take a picture of the elevator lobby or parking location before leaving the car. The campus is large and a photo is often easier than trying to remember a floor and elevator animal hours later.

The ED/UC garage is next to the Emergency and Urgent Care entrance and should be reserved for families using those services.

Respiratory screening

Inpatient visitors are screened for respiratory illness and COVID-related symptoms at badging stations.

Sleeping overnight

Sleeping arrangements depend on the unit. Patient rooms have a fold-out bed for at least one support person.

Sleeping on the floor is not permitted because it creates a safety hazard.
