The Burnet Campus is Cincinnati Children’s main hospital. Other major system locations include Liberty Campus and College Hill, along with primary care, urgent care, diagnostic and specialty facilities across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Where to park for the ER

Under normal access conditions, the Emergency Department/Urgent Care parking garage is at 3401 Burnet Avenue, next to the emergency entrance. Emergency visitors can enter through the automatic gates and use the nearest available emergency parking space.

Cincinnati Children’s asks families with scheduled appointments to use the regular Visitor Garage instead so the limited emergency spaces remain available for urgent patients.

What happens if a child is admitted from the ER?

Under normal parking operations, if the child is admitted after an Emergency Department visit, Cincinnati Children’s asks the family to move the vehicle from limited emergency parking to the main Visitor Garage.

Cincinnati Children’s does not publish one fixed dollar amount that represents every pediatric emergency visit. An ER bill can vary because of:

Walk-ins are accepted. Cincinnati Children’s also offers a Save My Spot system that can reserve a place in line up to 12 hours in advance when availability remains.

Cincinnati Children’s Urgent Care sees patients through their 20th year, until their 21st birthday.

Cincinnati Children’s also states that uninsured patients automatically receive a 49% discount on their balance and may qualify for additional assistance after completing the Financial Assistance Application.

What if insurance information was missing at check-in?

Cincinnati Children’s says the account may initially be registered as self-pay. Families can later provide insurance information through the billing office.

Visitor check-in

• Visitors are checked at a Welcome Center.
• Visitors age 16 and older should be ready to show photo ID.
• Keep the issued visitor badge/sticker while in the hospital.
• Inpatient visitors are screened for symptoms of respiratory illness.

Arriving after 8:30 pm

Overnight arrivals should enter through Location B. Cincinnati Children’s says other inpatient entrances are locked after 8:30 pm, and Security controls elevator access to patient floors overnight.

Current mask policy

As checked in August 2026, masks are optional at Cincinnati Children’s locations. The hospital may change masking requirements when respiratory illness activity changes. Patients with respiratory symptoms may be asked to mask.
