Going into labor: where to enter

The Birth Center is accessible from Entrance 3 at Bluebonnet. Designated pink parking spaces are located near Entrance 3 for maternity patients.

If you arrive in labor between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., use the after-hours button beside Entrance 3 and Security can provide access.

Birth Center visitor rules

  • Up to 4 visitors may be in the room during labor; swapping is permitted.
  • During delivery, only 2 people are permitted in the delivery room and swapping is not allowed.
  • Visitors in labor/delivery must be age 18 or older.
  • After delivery, there is no general visitor-count limit during normal visiting hours.
  • Visitors under 18 after delivery must be accompanied by an adult other than the patient.
  • One visitor may stay overnight postpartum.
