More than 4,000 babies are born at the hospital in a typical year. The Margot Perot Center supports low-risk births as well as highly complex pregnancies.

The Antepartum/High-Risk Pregnancy Care Unit cares for pregnant patients 16 weeks or more who have increased risk of pregnancy-related complications. The multidisciplinary program includes maternal-fetal medicine, neonatal physicians, case management, social services, nutrition and pastoral care.
Labor and Delivery check-in
Labor and Delivery admissions are on the ground floor of the South Tower of the Margot Perot Center. Patients arriving in spontaneous labor or with pregnancy-related concerns are assessed and directed to the appropriate area.
A nearby garage-level maternity entrance remains accessible 24 hours a day.

Parents use the identification band issued at birth to enter the unit. Ongoing parent-access badges are currently available from the main NICU desk for $5.
