Families have access to pediatric emergency and trauma care, a Level IV NICU, PICU and CVICU, pediatric heart care, cancer and blood-disorder treatment, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, spine care, surgery, rehabilitation, behavioral health, imaging and more than 30 pediatric specialties.
Wolfson is part of Baptist Health and expanded its clinical partnership with Nemours Children’s Health in 2026. Nemours pediatric physicians and advanced practice providers now work as integrated members of many Wolfson specialty teams, while Wolfson remains the primary site for inpatient and surgical hospital care.

Cardiology appointment requests
Wolfson’s Terry Heart Institute offers a direct online appointment-request process. The current page states that the cardiology team generally contacts families within one to two business days after a non-emergency request is submitted.

2026 Nemours collaboration
Beginning March 2026, Wolfson expanded its longstanding partnership with Nemours Children’s Health. Nemours physicians and APPs now work as integrated Wolfson team members in additional areas including critical care, neurosurgery, infectious diseases, rheumatology, nephrology, rehabilitation and palliative care. Genetics was added beginning in August 2026.
Wolfson remains the primary hospital for inpatient and surgical care while many specialty physicians are employed by or affiliated with Nemours.

Wolfson says children should be evaluated in the ER for problems such as:
- A wound that will not stop bleeding
- Difficulty breathing

- Stiff neck with fever and disorientation
- Suspected broken bone

Fast Track
The downtown Wolfson ER includes a fast-track pathway for selected less-urgent pediatric illnesses and injuries. Triage staff determine whether a child is appropriate for that pathway.
Critical Care Transport
Hospitals and referring physicians can arrange transfer of critically ill infants and children through Wolfson’s Kids Kare Mobile ICU, helicopter or airplane services.

Wolfson/Baptist Health does not publish one universal pediatric consultation fee or one flat emergency-room price because the final charge depends on the level and type of care your child receives.

Baptist states that planned estimates generally reflect the service and insurance information available at the time and are not a guarantee of final cost.
Estimates commonly include Baptist-employed provider charges where applicable but may exclude services from non-Baptist-employed clinicians such as certain:

Wolfson Children’s has a federally required hospital standard-charge file. Baptist Health’s current public transparency page lists the Wolfson file as updated March 31, 2026. Baptist cautions that gross charges are not the same as what an individual family owes.

Which parking garage should you use?
P2 Skybridge
The P2 Garage connects to the hospital campus by an enclosed skybridge. Follow garage signs for the Borowy Tower/main entrance.
Patient discharge pickup
Current hospital parking instructions direct many pediatric discharges—including Wolfson inpatient units, Borowy critical care units, imaging, cardiology and surgery— to the Borowy Tower pickup area.
Pavilion fourth-floor outpatient surgery patients use the Pavilion pickup location.

Up to four visitors may be in a patient room at one time.
Up to two visitors age 18+ may be approved to stay overnight.
Visitor check-in
All parents, guardians and visitors age 18 and older must check in through a self-service visitor kiosk before entering hospitalized patient areas.
Behavioral Health visitation
Current Wolfson policy states that the Behavioral Health unit permits one visitor from 4:30–6:30 p.m. on alternating days as assigned by the unit.
NICU, PICU and Critical Care Tower
The Borowy Family Children’s Critical Care Tower contains five floors of patient care and 127 advanced patient rooms for children requiring the highest level of intensive care.

Pediatric hematology and oncology care is provided in collaboration with Nemours Children’s Health.
Wolfson is an Accredited Pediatric Cancer Program through the American College of Surgeons and participates in the Children’s Oncology Group.
The hospital states that the program participates in more than 80 pediatric cancer clinical trials and evaluates patients for research-protocol options.

How long does a request take?
Baptist states that most electronic patient requests are processed within approximately 5–7 business days, although HIPAA allows up to 30 days in applicable circumstances.
Medical-record fees
There is no charge for records accessed through My Baptist Chart or records sent directly to another healthcare provider for continuing care. A reasonable cost-based fee may apply to certain patient-copy requests, and Baptist says families will be notified of any charge beforehand.

My Baptist Chart can be used to:
Parent proxy access
Parents/guardians can request proxy access for a minor child. For children age 11 and younger, the parent can request access by searching for “Request Minor Access” in the My Baptist Chart menu. Baptist states that these requests are typically processed within about five business days.
Teen proxy access for ages 12–17 has additional privacy rules because certain adolescent healthcare information is legally confidential.
