The Emergency Center is designed specifically for infants, children and adolescents. It provides access to pediatric emergency physicians and hospital subspecialists when a child needs advanced imaging, surgery, intensive care or admission.

Pediatric Trauma Center

Johns Hopkins All Children’s is a designated Pediatric Trauma Center certified by the Florida Department of Health. Its pediatric trauma team is available 24 hours a day, every day for severe and life-threatening injuries.

The trauma program works with Emergency Medicine, pediatric surgeons, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, critical care, anesthesia, radiology and rehabilitation.

Regional Level IV NICU

Johns Hopkins All Children’s operates a Regional Level IV NICU designated by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Level IV is the highest level of neonatal intensive care and is intended for the most critically ill and medically complex newborns.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

The PICU treats critically ill and injured children requiring advanced respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological and multisystem support.

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

The CVICU cares for newborns, children and young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease, including patients recovering from cardiac surgery, catheter procedures or heart transplantation.

Advanced cardiac support includes ECMO and ventricular assist devices. The hospital’s pediatric heart-transplant program has performed more than 190 neonatal and pediatric heart transplants.
